Ticker Lock started Tickers Music Mania, Mobile DJ / Professional entertainers in 1998, But that wasn't the first time Ticker had DJ'd an event. When Ticker was 12 his dad bought him a "home disc jockey system" It was a Christmas present, it was as though it was Gods way of entering his life and exposing his talents. Grant it yes, Ticker was 12, but you better believe he wore it out.
Lets fast forward three years, a friend of Tickers' dad set him up a larger system, it was still basically a home stereo, but he had a mirrored ball and three sound activated lights, Ticker did his first dance at 15 years old, he was not ready, all he saw was girls and all he did was play was music, he didn't even have a microphone. When Ticker was 25, he started working at another radio station in Gillette WY. He talked with a friend in Gillette about what it would take to start a DJ service, she said, "here's a catalog if your interested just call them and you'll be on your way." he did just that. He saw the prices of equipment and was trying to find a way to pay for it. Ticker ended up selling his firebird to get his first real system.
Ticker slowly started getting more and more experience and with the extra money he was making he was re investing it into Tickers Music Mania. Buying more and more equipment. Speakers, music, props, and the fun-nest for Ticker is dance lights. He is really "drawn towards the light" Currently Tickers Music Mania has 33 lights between two complete systems.
Ticker was booking more and more weddings, dances, Christmas parties it was great! I had a call from a gentlemen in Upton WY. Ticker was about to go down an avenue never thought of before. The gentlemen in Upton had offered Ticker his business to sell. Ticker bought it. Having two full systems now, Tickers Music Mania needed to add some more entertainers. Ticker now has two entertainers as well as himself.
Since that time Ticker has grown professionally, buying out three other DJ services, and continue to grow. His wife, Bre and brother Mike along with Tickers daughter, Jazmin (learning the ropes) are doing shows. Tickers Music Mania is in the process of buying a complete third system. On average Tickers Music Mania has 200 shows a year. Ticker could not have gone so far with Tickers Music Mania if it hadn't been for God.
